Here in Washington, D.C. protesting has been unavoidable. It's in the issues I care about, the spaces I occupy, and even in the advertising (this was outside Farragut North Metro, shared from PoPville).
 

International Woman's Day 2017. I'm proudly wearing red in support of all the workers who didn't show up to work today to raise awareness for the current state of woman inequality in this country. Acts like this inspire me, and so has an outpouring of work this year.

I've posted a few videos by women, but I thought these two really stood out, Work and What Democracy Looks Like. You can click the links to see what my short thoughts were on each, but here's why they're better together.  Both show different portrayals of women that require the perceived audience to take what they're seeing an give meaning based on how they have seen women in the world. Have they been treated fairly? Equally? And if not, what are we doing about it?

I hope you feel inspired and take a moment to think what both of these videos illustrate.
